There are several to choose from so I'd say try one. Nishiki is one I've tried and it's very good. As long as it's short grain it should all be good. Good luck and let me know which one you go for! |

I get mine from a Chinese market. I've seen it for sale on amazon.com for shipping in the USA. |

I started a second job and I'm kind of dragging in the am. I do take my bentos to work...the rest of the staff think they are adorable. However I am lucky if I just use my cool little cutters to make shapes out of the cheeses. I still can't locate the rice (short grain) to make the onigiri creations. |

I'm in a holding pattern on the move because I over planned - which is a good thing! Now I can get things rolling on a minute's notice. The big thing now is getting the house and garden up to scratch and ready for sale. So I've just signed with a contractor to put a new kitchen in, update the bathroom fixtures and I've worked my butt off in the garden. With winter a few months away, time is short for the garden so it's a big priority just now. How's your bento making going? I'll have to some peek at pictures and see if you've posted some! |
